Prosciutto-Wrapped Gorgonzola-Walnut Dates

Ingredients

16 walnut halves
16 pitted Medjool dates
½ cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
8 slices Fiorucci® Smoked Prosciutto, cut lengthwise in half
16 toothpicks
2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions

Prep time: 20 minutes | Bake time: 12minutes

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°; line rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2
In small skillet, toast walnuts over medium-high heat 3 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant, stirring occasionally; cool slightly.

Step 3
With paring knife, make lengthwise slit in each date, being careful not to cut all the way through. Fill dates with walnuts and cheese; wrap with prosciutto, secure with toothpicks and place on prepared pan. Bake dates 12 minutes or until prosciutto is slightly crisp; serve sprinkled with parsley, if desired, and drizzled with balsamic glaze.
