2 tbsp olive oil
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp red chili flakes
1 pkg (6 oz) Fiorucci Panino Pepperoni & Mozzarella
4 small hot dog buns, split and toasted
3/4 cup tomato sauce, heated
1/4 cup torn fresh basil
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in large skillet set over mediumhigh heat; sauté pepper, onion, garlic, oregano and chili flakes for 5 to 8 minutes or until pepper is tender.
2. Cut each panino into 3 pieces; divide evenly among hot dog buns. Top with pepper mixture and tomato sauce; place on baking sheet. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese has melted. Sprinkle with fresh basil.
Tip: Substitute other Paninos, such as Hard Salami & Mozzarella, for Panino Pepperoni & Mozzarella if desired.
