Homemade Pizza Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 package (4.5 ounces) Fiorucci® Pepperoni & Mozzarella Panino™ or Pepperoni & Pepper Jack Panino™, finely chopped
  • 10 slices Fiorucci® Pre-Sliced Pepperoni, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce plus additional for serving (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning plus additional for garnish (optional)
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • 3 cups canola oil
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Directions

Prep: 120 minutes | Cook: 6 minutes | Serves: 8

In medium bowl, toss panino, pepperoni, sauce and seasoning. Makes about 1 cup panino mixture.

Place wrappers on work surface with 1 corner of each facing you; place about 1 tablespoon panino mixture in center of wrapper. Brush edges of wrappers with water; fold bottom and top corners up over filling and seal with water. Fold left and right corners over to make a rectangular-shaped envelope; seal edges with additional water, if necessary.

Attach deep fryer thermometer to side of medium saucepot. Add oil; heat over medium heat 10 minutes or until oil temperature reaches 350°. In 2 batches, add pizza rolls to oil; cook 3 minutes or until golden brown and crisp, turning once. With slotted spoon, transfer rolls to paper towel-lined plate. Makes 16 pizza rolls.

Serve pizza rolls garnished with cheese and seasoning along with sauce, if desired.
