Prosciutto
Prosciutto is Italy’s elegant expression of ham. Ours is hand-selected, hand-trimmed and carefully aged to give it a lightly salty, floral flavor. It’s as beautiful on the plate as it is on your palate.
Cheesy Prosciutto Twists
Arrange these pretty puff pastry straws in a tall glass alongside a bowl of warm marinara sauce for dipping.
Ingredients
2 frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed and cold
6 slices Fiorucci Prosciutto
3/4 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup marinara sauce
Directions
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 18 minutes
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
On lightly floured work surface, unroll 1 sheet puff pastry. Lay prosciutto over top; sprinkle with Gruyère. Top with remaining puff pastry sheet; roll lightly with a rolling pin to flatten slightly. Cut pastry into twelve 1/2-inch strips. Twist each end of the strips in opposite directions; cut in half to make 24 pieces.
Transfer to prepared baking sheet. Whisk egg with 1 tbsp water; brush over strips. Bake in center of oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden.
Heat marinara sauce; serve with cheesy twists.
