Baked Stuffed Italian Sausages

Ingredients

  • 1/2 (4.5-ounce) package Fiorucci® Hard Salami & Mozzarella Panino™, chopped
  • 1/2 (4.5-ounce) package Fiorucci® Pepperoni & Mozzarella Panino™, chopped
  • 1/2 (4.3-ounce) package Fiorucci® Prosciutto & Mozzarella Panino™, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 sweet Italian sausage links
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • Chopped fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Directions

Prep: 15 minutes | Bake: 25 minutes  | Serves: 8

Preheat oven to 400°. In medium bowl, toss Panino. 

In bottom of 13 x 9-inch baking dish, spread 1/2 cup sauce. With sharp paring knife, cut sausages lengthwise in half, but do not cut all the way through, leaving about 1/8 inch uncut; place sausages, cut side up, in dish over sauce and fill with Panino. Top sausages with remaining 1/2 cup sauce, cheese and breadcrumbs; tightly cover dish with aluminum foil. 

Bake sausages 25 minutes or until internal temperature of sausages and filling reaches 160° and cheese is melted. Makes 8 stuffed sausages.

Serve stuffed sausages garnished with basil, if desired.
